Zang: proudly presents this adventurous piece of music by SONAROPHONE. But even though the project name might be new, these guys have been around the block a couple of times…
SONAROPHONE is a project consisting of guitarist extraordinaire Alf Terje Hana, who has drawn magic from the 6 strings longer than some of us have lived, in addition to Line Horneland, who can sing the songs of the high heavens but also grunt like the possessed and the disenchanted in the devil’s choir…
The stale desert air is humid, perhaps brimming with nervous expectations of things to come… the vultures are circling the prey and the desert dust is whirling up, clouding the view… all we can hear through these dusty clouds of the wastelands are the voice of the angel leading the way out… but then the blizzard covers all the tracks and we are cast out into the eternal wilderness, the sirens are wailing, the signals from the other side are luring us in and the desperate cries of the dispossessed are overwhelming… Surrounded by darkness, with no light at the end of the tunnel….
But then the storm settles and drops of rain put the dust to rest for a while but have we crossed the desert? Is it a mirage?
The waterhole is brimming with life, frogs are jumping, the water is bubbling and the desert roses are blossoming right in front of us… Is this real? We put our trust in the voice from the stars to lead the way…
SONAROPHONE create a stunning piece of music where structure meets chance, the organic sounds of the star-fueled guitar and the wordless voice is perfectly matched to the electronic desertscapes and soundstorms… SONAROPHONE creates a highly atmospheric work that captures the attention of the listener in many ways and keeps you plugged in… File under adventurous organic electronica.
